Ladies and Gentlemen, Welcome to the Main Attraction

Lake Compounce, located in Bristol, Connecticut, is the oldest continuously operating amusement park in North America. Founded in 1846, Lake Compounce is celebrating its 175^th birthday, and she’s never looked better.

As part of the park’s 175^th celebration, Lake Compounce launched a new brand throughout its grounds, including at the park’s flagship attraction, Boulder Dash.

“It was an honor to partner with the teams at Lake Compounce and Palace Entertainment on the momentous occasion of the park’s 175^th anniversary”, stated 3dx’s Mark Rosenzweig. “With 2021 looking up in so many ways, we wish the park a safe and prosperous season!”

3dx was asked to create and fabricate a brand-new dimensional marquee sign for Boulder Dash, voted the world’s number one wooden coaster five times. Our team designed a marquee that matches the thrill of the mile-long, terrain-driven wooden coaster that speeds riders along the side of Southington Mountain.

In addition, 3dx also re-imagined the entry of Lake Compounce, including the design and installation of a large carousel horse and new logo sign that will serve as iconic pieces to welcome guests to the park for the next 175 years!
