About the Project

For 32 years, the first weekend in August has been reserved for what is now the largest three-day Irish Festival on the planet. A crowd of more than 100,000 descend on Dublin, Ohio, to watch 65 acts and more than 535 performers across seven stages. Right alongside every fiddle player and spoken word Gaelic poet is the event production team from LIVE! to ensure that every member of the audience has an amazing experience.

Unique Opportunities

From specialized audiovisual equipment to quick staging changes, with 535 performers comes 535 unique needs throughout the weekend.

The festival attendance has grown every year and with it the footprint and layout of the festival has changed. With these developments, the audiovisual needs also had to evolve along with the new requirements.

Seven stages running performances for 8-12 hours over three days requires a substantial amount of electricity—mostly delivered from diesel generators. The client looked to our expertise in audiovisual technology to find solutions in reducing the budget and environmental impact of the weekend.


With over 40 years of experience in event production, we have developed a robust system of checks and reviews to ensure the logistic planning we devote to every project we produce. Our IT and events teams have worked hand-in-hand over the years to develop internal tools that communicate needs across teams to guarantee the right equipment shows up at the right place.

Our promise of providing a highly trained technical staff and the latest audiovisual equipment is backed up by the experiences we provide for our clients and their audiences. Those experiences are built around the close collaboration under which every event is designed with our clients. This allows us to design events that adapt as the needs of our clients change.

We recognize our commitment to not only providing the best live events experience, but doing so safely and responsibly. As part of this social obligation, we looked at developments in audiovisual technology that provided the same level of quality, while also diminishing the environmental and budget impact of operation costs. The transition to LED-based lighting, LED video screens, and Energy Star-rated audio equipment reduced the client’s generator and fuel costs, as well as the overall impact of the festival.
