Kaleidoscope – A Benefit Concert for Cincinnati Children’s
Client: Cincinnati Children’s Hospital
Location: Aronoff Center, Cincinnati, OH
Key Objectives: Reinvent this legacy event by creating a new name and visual identity while providing a unique platform for giving.
Challenges: As the region’s premier fundraising event, we needed a strong concept to attract new friends in the community and raise funds for the hospital.
Strategy: Conceiving of their signature fundraising event in a whole new way, we hoped to elevate both the fundraising goal and to create a more diverse group of friends and champions. By infusing this well-established event with electric, new energy, we believed we could both attract new friends and retain the most loyal supporters. With Kaleidoscope we created an exclusive dinner and concert experience that brought together individuals from across the community to enjoy moments of discovery, delight and transformation. We took over the entire Cincinnati city block and branded it for the event. This included the Aronoff Center and restaurants Nada, Boca and Sotto, as well as numerous festive tents. We applied graphic elements to the sidewalk, steps and windows of the venues as a way of visually unifying the event. And we welcomed Grammy Award-winning performer Leon Bridges for a featured performance to benefit Cincinnati Children’s.
Result: Together with other generous sponsors, the sellout crowd raised more than $1.2 million to benefit the children and families cared for by Cincinnati Children’s.
