The Greatest Ability is Adaptability in Video Production

“When you’re finished changing, you’re finished.”
– Ben Franklin

One of my favorite quotes from one of history’s most quotable figures. And who knows, for as many quirks as “Poor Richard” was known for, maybe he was simply referencing changing his breeches after one of his infamous “air baths” or skinny dips into the River Thames? But, for the sake of this post, let’s just assume he was writing about something less literal.

Amongst his myriad trailblazing accomplishments and titles, Franklin is also referred to as the “patron saint of advertising” –and for our team of creative professionals at L!VE, the above quote rings as true as a clanging Liberty Bell. Ok, ok. Enough about Ben Franklin…for now.

Let’s talk video marketing. That’s my team’s specialty at L!VE.  And while our business cards aren’t as comprehensive or diverse as Ben Franklin’s (sorry, that didn’t’ last long), we pride ourselves on a critical trait as a video production partner: adaptability.

As with many industries, the only constant in our field is change. So, yes we are always seeking new and exciting ways to utilize innovative technologies. But, for us, “adaptability” is more of a virtue than a technical skill.

We are currently going through an internal branding process in hopes of better communicating our video production offering to the marketplace. This trait revealed itself often during that discovery process.

One of our most valued clients –a marketing executive for a large international company, told us during an interview:

In big production houses we are not a priority. They tell us, “We do commercials for Nike. You don’t have that kind of budget.” We need to be a priority with whoever is involved with us. And with a company like L!VE it feels like we are on the same playing field. They move quicker, they respond faster, and they act as partners.

It isn’t flashy. It isn’t pretentious. It’s simply meeting the customer where they are and adapting our approach to meet the needs of each individual project with the respect and collaborative partnership our clients deserve. After all, it’s not our story to tell…it’s yours!

But don’t take my word for it. Let us show you. As Ben Franklin wrote in 1737, “Well done is better than well said.”

Now that, is well said.
